Previous 'Icons SA' finalist Thami Shobede discharged his presentation collection, 'Never Lost', for the current year and is riding the flood of progress.

The star, a sprinter up in a year ago's version of Idols SA, is striving to guarantee the collection is a win. With a hit single that went to number one on iTunes the day it was discharged, his endeavors is by all accounts paying off.

In spite of the fact that he recorded the music 'Never Lost' in May, he began composing the melodies in 2015.

"In 2015 when I was wiped out from Idols I started assembling melodies, simply keeping in touch with them.

"So when I chose I needed to assemble a collection, I definitely realized what sound I needed and what might be on the collection. It was simply a question of me composing a couple of more tracks and after that getting into the studio," Shobede said.

It took just two weeks to record the collection.

"Everything happened rapidly and, to be completely forthright, it was extremely overpowering just in light of the fact that I get so engaged with my work that I stop and concentrated on nothing else. It's as though I am not in contact with reality. I enjoyed being in studio, however, and working with Robin Kohl."

Shobede said it took him only two weeks since he comprehended what he needed.

"When it went to the sound of the collection, I knew I needed it to sound African.

"Indeed, even Sthandwa, the principal single, is an Afrosoul tune, and when it hit number one on iTunes, that affirmed what my sound ought to be. So it's Afrosoul and pop."
